On January 8, 2007, Acument™ Global Technologies, Inc. announced that it had reached an agreement to sell its Cherry Aerospace business to Precision Castparts Corp (PCC). New Cherry® G84-LS Low Profile Split Power Tool
The new Cherry® G84-LS low profile split power tool is designed to install aircraft lockbolts and blind bolts in limited access areas. The offset design allows for maximum access in difficult locations and the 10 foot hose assembly aids in reducing hand held weight and accessibility.
New Lightweight Cherry® G902 and G902-15 Nut-plate Installation Tools
Cherry® G902 and G902-15 nut-plate installation tools provide an ergonomically engineered and reliable tool system for nut-plate rivet installation. Both tools can install -3, 2.5mm, 3mm and -4 nut-plate rivets. The tools can also install -3 SPR and -3 CherryLOCK "A" blind rivets. These rugged installation tools offer reduced weight (2.0 lb.) and a compact handle design that greatly reduces operator fatigue.
The G902 version provides a stem feed through design that contains FOD in a catcher bag. This tool is supported by the H902-3NPR and H902-4NPR for 3/32" and 1/8" pull through type rivets. In addition to these pulling heads, the G902 will accept CherryMax® extensions for restricted access applications.
The G902-15 allows the use of our H9015-3C, and H9015-4C pulling heads for the 3/32" and 1/8" pull through type nut-plate rivets. The H9055-3 may be used with this tool to install 3/32" CherryLock® "A" Code rivets.

Cherry Aerospace Obtains Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) & Technical Standard Order (TSO) C148 Authorization from the Federal Aviation Administration.
The FAA now requires approval for non-standard part numbers that are offered for sale to third parties such as distributors, airlines and repair depots. The FAA has approved all Cherry® Brand product families for TSO C148. In addition, The FAA has authorized PMA for Cherry Aerospace produced Boeing, Pratt & Whitney, Cessna, Avro - a division of British Aerospace, and Embraer part numbers. Submission packages for our MBC product families are under construction.
New Lightweight Cherry® G84 Tool installs 1/8" thru 1/4" Lockbolts
The Cherry G84 pneumatic-hydraulic lockbolt installation tool is a rugged production tool designed for high speed, reliable installation of the most popular sizes of aircraft lockbolts. This powerful tool (5,800 lbs. pulling capacity) installs 1/8", 5/32", 3/16", and 1/4" Lockbolts in all materials. The tool features a new bayonet attachment for quick change of pulling heads.
Weighing only 7.65 pounds, this tool has been designed with many ergonomic features - less recoil, low noise and comfortably fitting in the operators hand. It can be operated in any position with one Hand. The tool can also install blind bolts and blind rivets with the appropriate adapters and pulling heads.

The new compact Cherry G747 power installation tool from Cherry Aerospace weighs only 3.625 pounds, yet has the power of much larger and heavier tools. The G747 Lightweight power installation tool installs -4, -5 and -6 diameter CherryMAX® rivets in all grips and materials. The G747 lightweight and compact ergonomic design greatly reduces operator fatigue. It can be operated in any position with a choice of straight, right angle and offset pulling heads.
